Description
Leather bound album containing 23 wartime watercolours painted by T/Sgt Ludwig Lund presented to Gen. James Pratt Hodges. The paintings depict service and leisure aspects of life in the 2nd Air Division including scenes in Norwich (including the Bell Inn, The Castle Hotel and Grill Room), Headquarters, drill grounds, ground crew, B-24s, aircrew and Gen. Hodges pinning a medal on an enlisted man's uniform. The album was originally presented to Gen. James Pratt Hodges whose grandson presented it to the 2nd Air Division Association who presented it to the Memorial Trust of 2nd Air Division. Donated to the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library by Paul R. King, in his capacity as Chairman of the Second Air Division Memorial Trust.
