Anecdote: writing to Ralph O'Neil about his book, 'A Dream of Eagles,' on the history of early airlines. [05:00-10:00] Quotes reply from Ralph O'Neil. Describes training after graduation as 2nd Lieutenant, assignment to Robert Seever's crew and buzzing [flying low over] his parents' house. Describes journey to England, 17 July 1944: via Goose Bay, Labrador [Canada]; Iceland and Ireland. Mentions facilities at Shipdham airbase, Norfolk, and his opinion of local people. Summary of missions including first to Schwerin, Germany, 25 August 1944 and last to Kaltenkirchen, Germany, 4 April 1945. [10:00-15:00] Kaltenkirchen mission continued.
