Collection of copies of casualty reports and war crimes trial report. The Casualty reports are single-page documents giving aircraft identification details, a summary of the cause of the incident and the names, ranks, positions, service numbers and burial places of crew members killed in action. 1) Casualty report for John C. Hall's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 42-94868, 844th Bomb Squadron, 489th Bomb Group) and Thomas E. Jones's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 41-29546, 847th Bomb Squadron, 489th Bomb Group) which collided and crashed near Tivetshall, 29 May 1944. 2) Casualty report for Clifford H. Howard's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 42-7619, 445th Bomb Group) which crashed near Tibenham airfield, 24 February 1945. 3) Casualty report for Marcus V. Courtney's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 44-40247, 389th Bomb Group) which crashed on assembly at Northrepps, 6 June 1944. 4) Casualty report for Clifton F. Lambert's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 42-51193, 389th Bomb Group) which crashed at Scarborough when it ran out of fuel returning from mission to German territory, 31 January 1944. 5) Casualty report for crash (of the B-24 serial no. 42-40687, 389th Bomb Group) near Hethel on a training flight, killing Charles B. Quantrell, 25 June 1943. 6) Casualty report for crash of Anders Andersen's crew (389th Bomb Group) near Hethel, on a training flight, 13 September 1943. 7) Casualty report for crash of Herbert H. Loebs' crew (of the B-24 serial no. 42-100046, 'Patsy Ann', 389th Bomb Group) on assembly, killing all crew members, 10 February 1944. 8) Casualty reports for Alfred J. Brooks's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 42-50452, 389th Bomb Group) and James E. Rhine's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 44-10513, 389th Bomb Group) which were involved in a mid-air collision and crashed near Carleton Rode, 21 November 1944. 9) Casualty report for Gregory H. Perron's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 42-100369, 389th Bomb Group) and John H. Kurtz's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 42-109821) which were involved in a mid-air collision during a practice formation, 2 March 1944. 10) Casualty report for John W. Allen's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 42-110034, 'Southern Comfort II', 44th Bomb Group) which was damaged by German anti-aircraft fire and abandoned by the crew near Leonbronn, Germany. All crew, except the radio operator John J. Kempowicz who was killed in action, were captured and held as prisoners of war. 11) Dachau war crimes trial report for Karl Baumgarten, accused of killing a member of the USAAF on 21 July 1944, report dated 5 June 1947. 12) Casualty report for Joe H. Shelley's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 41-29002, 392nd Bomb Group) which was hit by German anti-aircraft fire and crashed at Vershoven, Germany, 21 September 1944. 13) Heidelberg war crimes trial report for Thomas Dominikus, accused of killing a member of the USAAF on 21 September 1944, report dated 21 November 1945. 14) Casualty report for Emil Berry's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 42-52467, 'Hula Wahina II', 446th Bomb Group) which crashed at Dudweiler, Germany, while returning from mission to Ludwigshafen, 31 July 1944. 15) Casualty report for Ralph V. Shaffer's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 41-29177, 'Ginger', 446th Bomb Group) which was shot down by German anti-aircraft fire and abandoned by the crew, near Saarbrucken, Germany, 26 August 1944. 16) Dachau war crimes trial report for Fritz Dietrich, Fritz Dintinger, Albert Eli, Karl Hunsicker, Johann Klein, Willy Stemmler, Richard Wandel and Otto Zeitzer, accused of involvement in killing members of the USAAF on 31 July 1944 and 25 August 1944, report dated 9 January 1947. 17) Casualty report for Eugene J. Coletti's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 42-50842, 389th Bomb Group) which was shot down by German anti-aircraft fire near Wiesbaden, Germany, 19 October 1944. 18) Casualty Report for Martin J. Mullane's crew (of the B-24 serial no. 42-50681 'Slightly Dangerous', 446th Bomb Group) hit by German fire near Mainz marshalling yards, Germany, 19 October 1944. 19) War crimes trial report for Robert Schauer, Fritz Amstutz and Willi Christ, accused of killing members of the USAAF on 19 October 1944, report dated 13 May 1946.
