Describes fighter attack on his squadron over Zuider Zee, Netherlands, and a near mid-air collision in bad weather. [10:00-15:00] Describes mission to St Dizier, France, supplying fuel and maps to General Patton's army: low level flight with a new crew; sleeping in the aeroplane overnight and buying ice-cream. Comments on flying seven missions in nine days during the Battle of the Bulge [16 December 1944-25 January 1945].
