Letter from the Director of the American Red Cross Club informing Mrs W.D. Sparks of her husband's health and general wellbeing, 25 July 1944. Set of official postcards showing bomb damage in London (17 postcards); tourist packs of prints showing Westminster Abbey (12 cards) dated 15 September 1944; Ely Cathedral, dated 24 July 1944 (12 postcards); the Scottish National War Memorial at Edinburgh Castle, dated 27 July 1944 (12 postcards); Lille, France (12 postcards). Also contains Hotel Constance printed 'London Weekly Diary of Social Events', 11-17 September 1944 and a copy of the guidebook, 'London for US Armed Forces in UK'. Also contains four photographs showing sights visited including Edinburgh, a hospital in London, Buckingham Palace just after the changing of the guard and St James's Cathedral.
