Papers relating to Bruce Helmer's involvement with the 'Hethel Het Cats' dance band including a list of band performances, 3 August 1944-19 May 1945; letter to the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library outlining his involvement; original and photocopy of a band photograph, 29 May 1944, photograph showing the band 'Sounds of Swing' in performance, c. 1990s. Photocopy of a news cutting relating to the award of the Air Medal to Pfc. Bruce G. Helmer and 2nd Lt Norman L. Sawyer, 1944. Also contains a sheet giving specifications for the Consolidated B-24J Liberator aeroplane and photographs showing aircraft taxiing and Bruce Helmer with the aircraft 'Golden Girl' at Capitol Airport, Lansing, Michigan, August 1995 (three photographs).
